To give you all a bit of history about me...I was born and raised in South Dakota. I had a wonderful childhood where I was surrounded by great parents and two beautiful sisters.
After I graduated from high school I entered the Air Force as a Medical Technician. I spent four years learning the in's and out's of the medical field along with learning a lot about myself and others.
Feeling that the military was no longer for me (I didn't want anyone telling me what to do anymore...obviously I wasn't as mature as I thought I was)...I moved back to South Dakota and began my short stint as a college student. Before I was able to finish my degree, I fell in love with a high school friend who I married in Vegas within a couple of months. I am happy to report that we just celebrated our 7th wedding Anniversary!!! We beat the Vegas odds!
From there, my husband (who is Active Duty Army) and I moved to Ft. Knox, Kentucky where I was employed at a Chiropractic Clinic. I was the Records Manager for the office along with being the Jack of All Trades (insurance, patient care, computer tech). There I met some great women who helped me transition into married life and motherhood. We had a daughter in 2001 who means the world to both of us.
When my husband received orders to become a Recruiter, we moved from Kentucky to South Dakota to Minnesota all in the last five years. In that time frame I have worked at a Podiatry Clinic as an Office Manager along with working with disabled individuals as a Support Professional.
When we moved to Minnesota I decided that I needed to finish my Sociology degree that I had been putting off for what seemed like forever. I felt that more doors would open if I actually had that coveted piece of paper. Little did I know that that piece of paper takes a lot of hard work, patience, persistence, and accountability. It is funny but I think I should know everything by now....it is very humbling to realize that I don't...but it hasn't stopped me from wanting to learn!! Humble pie isn't too bad when served correctly!
I have since decided to become a professional Life Coach after what I call "The Perfect Storm". All the elements in my life seemed to come together to form a clarity that I had never experienced before. With this clarity or "Perfect Storm", I realized that I actually have been doing what I really love all along...helping others. I have been coaching friends, family and clients for years and I understand how important and fulfilling these experiences have been for all of us involved.
In helping others, I have increased my quality of life along with the lives of others. I know what my purpose is in life and I want to offer my services to everyone!!
